Howdy, I am Jason Brackett. It is a pleasure to have you here. I am an avid photographer, writer, motorsports enthusiast and driver, with an extensive automotive background.
I have a unique perspective of the automotive and motorsports industry, combining real world experience behind the wheel, wielding the wrench, and getting up close and personal with my camera with the goal of capturing the essence of the emotion, the feel of being there, and to immortalize that memory and moment in time. I have honed and crafted both skills side by side for over 25 years and counting.
I have always had a need for an artistic outlet and I found that in photography. I have written and photographed for numerous publications, finding I truly enjoy editorial writing.
I love driving and the bond made with the machine. Speed… It is in my blood, my DNA, my soul. It helps provide a feeling of freedom, tempered by the responsibility which comes in equal measure. I have worked for VW, Audi, and Porsche in all aspects of mechanics, parts, and service writing. I have been racing in some form since I got my license at age 16. The speed melts away all other worries to allow nothing else other than singular focus of being in the moment, finding the edge, then dip a toe across that barrier.
During this same amount of time, I have dealt with Crohn’s Disease, providing its own obstacles along the way. The interplay between Motorsports, Photography, and my personal health challenges helped shape who I am and how I view the world. I strive to share my passion with others and to create a legacy larger than myself for future generations.
